Wow…. I am SHOCKED at the winner of Project Runway Season 5. Leann’s waves or rose petals were everywhere like Hansel and Gretel leaving stones to find their way back home. It was one note and too much. It was clear that Korto did the best work and had the best original collection. Korto used great color and different thughts and designs throughout her collection. I even would have like to see Kenley win over Leann. I do like Leann’s work but the collection with all those petals were overkill.
I really wonder how in the world the judges make the decision.
I just watched the finaly show and was so very dissapointed with your choice. Kato had the very best clothes and you all commented about how great the designs were, and athen you picked Leanne. What gives. You all need to go back and give Kato the win that she deserves. Shame on all of you.

What the what were they thinking??? Leanne’s was soooo boring…two or three colors I think she used and same after same design. I would have been happy with either Kenley or Korto winning. I know that personality should not be a reason to win or lose but I was biased to the fact the Leanne’s attitude towards Kenley was disgraceful. She was always rolling her eyes and making fun of her. I know that Kenley has a hard time with people critiquing her work at first but I think she then thinks about it then solves the problem. That is no reason for one to make her feel small and unliked. I had a hard time watching everyone ganging up on her and making her feel left out. Very childish behavior.
I’m SO glad that Kenley didn’t win.. Her attitude, rudeness, and arrogance through the entire season was unacceptible. She should have been eliminated long ago. And, she’s a sore loser..Liane was great, talented and i’m very happy for her…
I had to turn off the finale because Leanne won. I have to agree with comments by Kay. Korto had the most wearable collection. Leanne only had blue and white. I have never been more disappointed with an outcome of a reality show.
This is unfair. A designer has to be versatile and unique in their design but should work on different concepts. eanne ony works or has same petal colection. What does people wear ..the designs which are ethnic or the designs which are meant to be sustanable using so much of material into those petals…no sense being sustainable in wasting so much of material …I disagree with judges judgement.
Ateast keney came out with some thing different than her usual ones better than Leane….leanne doesnt deserve this….
You picked correctly, it is fashion forward, Korto was good, but she had to redo two dresses, the two she showed to the judges were not in the final. Leeanne was innovative and unique, korto and leeanne were very close. kinley was repetitive with other peoples designs, if she had been up on here career choice, she would have know to do something different.

The other two choices were infinitely more creative than wave after wave of the same design and color schemes.

I agree with Kay….you all made the wrong decision for a winner. It should have been Kato…you all said yourself she knows how to work with a variety of women size and a variety of colors and that it is actually a gifted.
I can’t believe that Leanne won…the judges have outed so many people in season’s past for doing the “same thing” over and over and she has done the same thing ALL SEASON! Her garments were beautiful but boring…beautiful to look at yes but who would wear them and how do they translate into wearable clothes???
I loved Kinley’s style and collection but I believe Korto should have won. Every single garment in her collection is fresh but timeless and what people are wearing NOW but also a representation of culture and heritage. I have never been so disapointed in the judges decision. I did not even watch the rest of the show after they said Korto was out.

Too bad. Korto’s collection was exquisite, naturally beautiful, wearable, and culturally appropriate for the times. Leanne’s was too Banana Republic for me. Maybe she will win over the younger population but not me.
Once again PROJECT RUNWAY voted for the wrong desinger. There was no way hands down KORTO should have won!!! I’m starting to think the judges need to be changed on the show.
I liked Korto’s and Kenley’s designs, but I thought Leanne had a concept that she was faithful to and still created gorgeous clothes. I’ve never seen anything like them before and so I think on originality she has to win. Korto had wonderful clothes all seasons, but she did seem to lose her imprint a bit in the finale (I even wondered if she was trying to channel Leanne.) and Kenley, well, I like 50s designs, but there were too many times you heard the judges say they had seen something before. That is not original whether she was being truthful or disingenuous about not being aware of what other designers are doing. She also needs to grow up. They give her this opportunity to compete and she kept telling the experts they didn’t know anything. Well sugar, A learn where your bread is being buttered and B if they aren’t the experts in their own competition, who is? I mean free advice from Tim Gunn - why wouldn’t a designer want that?
Leanne had good designs throughout the show, however, she did not measure up tonight. Kato’s designs were fabulous. I could see myself wearing the majority of her designs everyday. Kenley’s line was good but I only saw myself wearing her designs on special occasions only. Good job ladies!
Kenley DEFINITELY should have won tonight! Tivoing through the entire season’s runway shows (and ignoring the silly drama), she should much more range, imagination, and style than Leanne. Leanne was of course very tasteful, took few risks, but was so safe that I could see every one of her pieces in a Banana Republic or Club Monaco. Yes I love those stores, but a cutting edge fashion designer’s fashion show shouldn’t look like a parade of their clothing. Of the three, Kenley gave the most bang for the buck!

Leanne always used the same concept and never expanded or showed growth. Korto showed hard work, skill and a gift that no other designed displayed. Korto’s collection was amazing and she deserved to win! Each piece was unique and her collection was consistent. The color palette was risky and she pulled it off. Leanne is very talented too but there were just tooo many waves.
I just saw the finale, and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. What happened to the fear of Leanne continuing and expanding her expression of petals/waves. Wasn’t her collection too repetitive, for goodness sake, it was the same thing walking down that runway 10 different times. Wasn’t that the same fear they had with Rami from season 4. As for Kenley, she should have been eliminated when the judges recognized her first knockoff in the middle of the season. And with her rude attitude she should not have been allowed to compete at that level. It just shows her immaturity.(HOW DID THIS BRAT GET TO THE FINALE??!!!)
I believe Korto had the best, most cohesive and diverse
collection of the three. Korto has the ability, skill and talent to become an extraordinary designer.
Judges, how about a little consistency in judging?
Beware future designers out there, longing to be the next top designer unless: you’re younger than 30, quirky to distraction, rude and disrespectful, and your designs can only be worn on the Moon or Mars. If that’s not you, you need not apply to Project Runway. because you definitely will not win.
I picked Leanne as the one to beat by the fourth episode. Korto and Kenley are exciting designers and true talents, but Leanne’s final collection was modern, feminine and gorgeous… a dreamy yet wearable confection. Her wedding gown makes me want to renew my marriage vows just so I can wear her design. All three women are emerging designers to watch. But tonight Leanne owned it. Bravo!

If JENNIFER LOPEZ had been able to appear as the guest judge she would NEVER have chosen leeanne! She would have wanted everything in KORTO’s collection!!!
No doubt Korto brought it and consistantly so throughout the season. There is an aliveness in her designs - her clothing creates an atmosphere! I was so shocked that leeann won - her collection was repetitive, bland, and lifeless.

I was so conflicted; i had both the presidential debate and project runway on TIVO and i was gowing back and forth. i wished that j-lo had showed up because i feel that she would have loved korto’s collection and maybe fought a little bit more for her. Korto has been consistent and i love her style and creations. i feel that she was cheated because her collection was more diversed and targetted towards “real women”. I was tired of those petals showing up in every single one of leanne’s pieces. Kenley should not have been at bryant park at all (my opinion is mostly due to her attitude). As much as i’ve enjoyed project runway over the pass seasons, i noticed a pattern on how the winners are chosen. Korto’s lost seemed so unfair, the decision tore me up and i’ve decided that i will no longer watch project runway as a result. hopefully i get over that by next season.

KORTO WAS ROBBED. Her collection was beautiful and versatile, Leanne’s collection consisted of one design, pleats!! This season, Daniel and Keith were sent home for making the same design over and over again. Last season, Rami was criticized for draping all of his designs. Chris, was forced into a sew-off with Rami for making the same dress that he and Christian had made in an earlier challenge. And now here we are with Leanne winning Project Runway having committed the same offense of repetition.
Kors criticized Korto for overworking her designs. He stated that some of her dresses had too many pleats, yet he raved about the overworked pleats in Leanne’s designs.
The show has lost it’s credibility and probably some viewers.
Maybe Project Runway should ‘auf’ some of its permanent judges. Kenley continued to comment that the judges were inadequate to assess anyone’s designs (What do they know?), in retrospect she was CORRECT!
Korto should have won. I would wear any of those pieces. Leanne’s? Not so much. It was monotone! Hello? It’s one thing to have a motif, another to make the same thing in different garments. It was nice to look at, but not the most wearable. Even Kenley’s was more ready to wear than Leanne’s.

I was always rooting for Kenley, from day one. But she turned out to have such a bad attitude. By the season finale I just knew she wouldn’t win, EVEN IF she had the best collection. Her nasty attitude made her talent as a designer sink into the background.
Kenley, get a better attitude. No one is taking away the fact that you’re a talented designer, but you are so stank, it’s ugly.
I definitely think Korto deserved to win and am so disappointed that Leann won. Korto’s collection was so much more innovative.
Hey guys… Ive been reading all of these comments, and Im really shocked. For anyone who has been watching the show for all the seasons, you should have known that Leanne was going to win. Her look was different, unique, and added something to fashion. Korto’s clothes were beautiful, and fit many women, but you can find those clothes in stores. I LOVE korto’s designs, dont get me wrong, and think she has a great future, I just dont understand why so many are upset that Leanne won. Leanne created a signature look on the runway, whereas Korto created beautiful clothes but not a signature. She did a great job!
This was by far the worse season of designers. The judges gave Korto parise for her designs and basically told Leanne was a one trick pony with the wave design. Yet Leanne wins. Kenley should never have been in the final 3, but with the selection of designers, who should have been there. The casting/selection commitee for Season 6 will need to choose a better group. In past seasons, you waited with baited breathe to see the Final Runway show. Last night? Not so much. The judges don’t appear interested. The designers had no point of view. Hence the audience doesn’t become engaged in the show. Eventually, it damages the intergrity of the show. Great talent is out there. We’ve seen it. None of them WOWed me.
I’ve been a fan of the show since the first season, and am so turned off by last night’s decision. Korto had the winning collection, and was consistent throughout the entire season.
I am happy for Leanne, her designs were very graphic with the waves. She was very supportive of all of the previous designers, except for Kenley which is understandable. However, you all really missed the mark by not choosing Korto. Her designs are versatile and unique. I pray that everything works out for Korto in her endeavors. Keep up the GOOD WORK KORTO. You may not have won the war but you definethly won the Battle. I’m looking to see your designs in the stores. Do you have a website? If you don’t get one!!!
Leanne created a signature look. I loved her creations. Her clothes will be in the high end stores and will be immediately recognized as Leannes’ line. This is what a designer wants to achieve, immediate recognition of their work. The others were very good but I did not see a unique theme with either Kenley or Korto. However, I do expect both to go far, particularly Korto.
Sorry but Korto was robbed! Leanne’s stuff was pretty,but bland and too much of the same thing with the wave pattern. Korto’s were wearable(by many women,like the judges said)and colorful. Kenley didn’t win as much for her really bad attitude as well as her derivative designs. I hope Korto is the Jennifer Hudson” of Project Runway and blows everyone out of the water!
I was disappointed in the finale. The winner didn’t take any real risks. Korto took a risk by changing two outfits in her collection. Kenley took a risk by changing from 50s to 80s style. The only risk Leanne took was with the neck of that one oufit. She did show consistency, though,
I too have always been a fan of the show and judges, however, was very disappointed with this years winner. One judge set the tone with comments throughout the show that were more rude than constructive criticism. Too much attention was focused on Kenley’s strong convictions which were poorly conveyed at times. That said, Kenley’s comments were no worse than that of some judges or from a few sarcasted designers. She reacted to the tone and some of the other designers conduct towards her. I also feel personal emotions chose the winner who produced one look with a bland color palette. Constructive criticism from the professional views stated several designers overworked an idea then chose a winner with one.
I am going to miss the show though, I have thoroughly enjoyed it in past years.
For what it’s worth, I would have liked to have seen Kenley or Korto take the win, either were more deserving in my view.
Bravo should be embarrassed. How can you use a “judge” who involved himself the designs and necessarily influenced the garments? Meanwhile, two days after her “foot injury” JLo ran a triathalon. Professional wrestling is more credible.
I guess fashions are not create for everyday women leanne fashion are costumes ulgy and colorless. Korto you never would let win you teased her the own season. you said you loved her fashion and give her praise but never a win. I guess what you are saying is the everyday woman has no fashion sense because Leanne is not what i call a designer. I am so disappointed I am finish with project run way. i was blown away like literally ? by her designs which was extravaganza and totally glamourous that could be shown on the red carpet and be on the spotlight as the BOMB i swear.
i wonder what are the judges thinking, they are gettin more and more off track like how they commented on the contestants, they need to be more sophisticated in their thinking and decision before they can criticise other people man. I tink they wont stay down in their posts, they will definitely be replaced.
Congrats., Leanne. Ignore the criticisms and bask in your day in the sun. Your collection was soft, beautiful, and any woman could wear it. You showed creativity throughout the season, not just at the Finale. You always listened to the challenge, created very diverse fashions, weekly, and deserved to win by your diverse talent weekly. You were also kind to your colleagues and didn’t criticize/brag constantly. Kenley, Korto had the “me” attitudes. It was always all about them and their point of view. Kenley couldn’t get past the “vintage”/retro look and Korto couldn’t get past the heritage factor in hers. That is not going to help them to design fashions for clients that have their own point of views. I’d love to see you team up with Jerrell and tone him down/perfect his seamstress skills. Between his creativity and talent for color, you guys would great together!!
Leanne won fair and square!!! She is a beautiful designer. Kenley’s design looked like K-Mart. Besides, she will never go far in the fashion world with a stinking attitude. Korto’s work was also very beautiful. I had a hard time deciding between the top two. I honestly don’t know how Kenley made it to the top 3. She was very disrespectful to EVERYONE.
I am okay with the judges decision.. tho I agree that Korto presented a VERY impressive final collection. My favorite designer from season 5 was Kenley pretty much from the beginning, and I had predicted she would make it to the final 3 early on. I really LOVE her style… after the last 6 episodes her personality got a little over-bearing which I feel is the main reflect of the majority not liking her collection. Her designs are old style, but they always have a modern twist on them which I think i VERY unique. I agree with previous comments that Leanne always had an ‘over-lapping’ design style & Korto always had an ‘everyday woman’ style, but I felt that Kenley’s was always unique & dreamy.. it was like Nina always says ‘a fantasy’.. and tho I agree that season 5 was my least fave so far I have to admit I have NEVER seen anyone FIT clothes like Kenley.

Korto’s collection was amazing and she deserved to win! Each piece was unique and her collection was consistent. The color palette was risky and she pulled it off. Leanne is very talented too but there were just tooo many waves.

I just saw the finale, and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. What happened to the fear of Leanne continuing and expanding her expression of petals/waves. Wasn’t her collection too repetitive, for goodness sake, it was the same thing walking down that runway 10 different times. Wasn’t that the same fear they had with Rami from season 4. (HOW DID THIS ONE NOTE WIN???????!!!)Nina
As for Kenley, she should have been eliminated when the judges recognized her first knockoff in the middle of the season. And with her rude attitude she should not have been allowed to compete at that level. It just shows her immaturity.(HOW DID THIS BRAT GET TO THE FINALE??!!!)
I believe Korto had the best, most cohesive and diverse
collection of the three. Korto has the ability, skill and talent to become an extraordinary designer.
Judges, how about a little consistency in judging?
Beware future designers out there, longing to be the next top designer unless: you’re younger than 30, quirky to distraction, rude and disrespectful, and your designs can only be worn on the Moon or Mars. If that’s not you, you need not apply to Project Runway. because you definitely will not win.

I picked Leanne as the one to beat by the fourth episode. Korto and Kenley are exciting designers and true talents, but Leanne’s final collection was modern, feminine and gorgeous… a dreamy yet wearable confection. Her wedding gown makes me want to renew my marriage vows just so I can wear her design. All three women are emerging designers to watch. But tonight Leanne owned it. Bravo!

I loved Kenley but the last collection Korto was fabulous….I love the the way some of Leannes stuff moves but the winner? I didn’t expect her to win

If JENNIFER LOPEZ had been able to appear as the guest judge she would NEVER have chosen leeanne! She would have wanted everything in KORTO’s collection!!!
No doubt Korto brought it and consistantly so throughout the season. There is an aliveness in her designs - her clothing creates an atmosphere! I was so shocked that leeann won - her collection was repetitive, bland, and lifeless.
Project Runway ran awry with their decision.
Korto’s designs were vibrant and translate well for any age and any size. We applaud you Korto!!!

I was so conflicted; i had both the presidential debate and project runway on TIVO and i was gowing back and forth. i wished that j-lo had showed up because i feel that she would have loved korto’s collection and maybe fought a little bit more for her. Korto has been consistent and i love her style and creations. i feel that she was cheated because her collection was more diversed and targetted towards “real women”. I was tired of those petals showing up in every single one of leanne’s pieces. Kenley should not have been at bryant park at all (my opinion is mostly due to her attitude). As much as i’ve enjoyed project runway over the pass seasons, i noticed a pattern on how the winners are chosen. Korto’s lost seemed so unfair, the decision tore me up and i’ve decided that i will no longer watch project runway as a result. hopefully i get over that by next season.

KORTO WAS ROBBED. Her collection was beautiful and versatile, Leanne’s collection consisted of one design, pleats!! This season, Daniel and Keith were sent home for making the same design over and over again. Last season, Rami was criticized for draping all of his designs. Chris, was forced into a sew-off with Rami for making the same dress that he and Christian had made in an earlier challenge. And now here we are with Leanne winning Project Runway having committed the same offense of repetition.
Kors criticized Korto for overworking her designs. He stated that some of her dresses had too many pleats, yet he raved about the overworked pleats in Leanne’s designs.
The show has lost it’s credibility and probably some viewers.
Maybe Project Runway should ‘auf’ some of its permanent judges. Kenley continued to comment that the judges were inadequate to assess anyone’s designs (What do they know?), in retrospect she was CORRECT!

Korto should have won. I would wear any of those pieces. Leanne’s? Not so much. It was monotone! Hello? It’s one thing to have a motif, another to make the same thing in different garments. It was nice to look at, but not the most wearable. Even Kenley’s was more ready to wear than Leanne’s.
Boo, judges. Disappointing end.

I was always rooting for Kenley, from day one. But she turned out to have such a bad attitude. By the season finale I just knew she wouldn’t win, EVEN IF she had the best collection. Her nasty attitude made her talent as a designer sink into the background.
Kenley, get a better attitude. No one is taking away the fact that you’re a talented designer, but you are so stank, it’s ugly.
I definitely think Korto deserved to win and am so disappointed that Leann won. Korto’s collection was so much more innovative.

Hey guys… Ive been reading all of these comments, and Im really shocked. For anyone who has been watching the show for all the seasons, you should have known that Leanne was going to win. Her look was different, unique, and added something to fashion. Korto’s clothes were beautiful, and fit many women, but you can find those clothes in stores. I LOVE korto’s designs, dont get me wrong, and think she has a great future, I just dont understand why so many are upset that Leanne won. Leanne created a signature look on the runway, whereas Korto created beautiful clothes but not a signature. She did a great job!

This was by far the worse season of designers. The judges gave Korto parise for her designs and basically told Leanne was a one trick pony with the wave design. Yet Leanne wins. Kenley should never have been in the final 3, but with the selection of designers, who should have been there. The casting/selection commitee for Season 6 will need to choose a better group. In past seasons, you waited with baited breathe to see the Final Runway show. Last night? Not so much. The judges don’t appear interested. The designers had no point of view. Hence the audience doesn’t become engaged in the show. Eventually, it damages the intergrity of the show. Great talent is out there. We’ve seen it. None of them WOWed me.

I am happy for Leanne, her designs were very graphic with the waves. She was very supportive of all of the previous designers, except for Kenley which is understandable. However, you all really missed the mark by not choosing Korto. Her designs are versatile and unique. I pray that everything works out for Korto in her endeavors. Keep up the GOOD WORK KORTO. You may not have won the war but you definethly won the Battle. I’m looking to see your designs in the stores. Do you have a website? If you don’t get one!!!

Leanne created a signature look. I loved her creations. Her clothes will be in the high end stores and will be immediately recognized as Leannes’ line. This is what a designer wants to achieve, immediate recognition of their work. The others were very good but I did not see a unique theme with either Kenley or Korto. However, I do expect both to go far, particularly Korto.

Sorry but Korto was robbed! Leanne’s stuff was pretty,but bland and too much of the same thing with the wave pattern. Korto’s were wearable(by many women,like the judges said)and colorful. Kenley didn’t win as much for her really bad attitude as well as her derivative designs. I hope Korto is the Jennifer Hudson” of Project Runway and blows everyone out of the water!

I was disappointed in the finale. The winner didn’t take any real risks. Korto took a risk by changing two outfits in her collection. Kenley took a risk by changing from 50s to 80s style. The only risk Leanne took was with the neck of that one oufit. She did show consistency, though,

I too have always been a fan of the show and judges, however, was very disappointed with this years winner. One judge set the tone with comments throughout the show that were more rude than constructive criticism. Too much attention was focused on Kenley’s strong convictions which were poorly conveyed at times. That said, Kenley’s comments were no worse than that of some judges or from a few sarcasted designers. She reacted to the tone and some of the other designers conduct towards her. I also feel personal emotions chose the winner who produced one look with a bland color palette. Constructive criticism from the professional views stated several designers overworked an idea then chose a winner with one.
I am going to miss the show though, I have thoroughly enjoyed it in past years.
For what it’s worth, I would have liked to have seen Kenley or Korto take the win, either were more deserving in my view.

Bravo should be embarrassed. How can you use a “judge” who involved himself the designs and necessarily influenced the garments? Meanwhile, two days after her “foot injury” JLo ran a triathalon. Professional wrestling is more credible.

Korto you never would let win you teased her the own season. you said you loved her fashion and give her praise but never a win. I guess what you are saying is the everyday woman has no fashion sense because Leanne is not what i call a designer. I am so disappointed I am finish with project run way. i think korto should have won hands down.
i was blown away like literally ? by her designs which was extravaganza and totally glamourous that could be shown on the red carpet and be on the spotlight as the BOMB i swear.
i wonder what are the judges thinking, they are gettin more and more off track like how they commented on the contestants, they need to be more sophisticated in their thinking and decision before they can criticise other people man. I tink they wont stay down in their posts, they will definitely be replaced.

Congrats., Leanne. Ignore the criticisms and bask in your day in the sun. Your collection was soft, beautiful, and any woman could wear it. You showed creativity throughout the season, not just at the Finale. You always listened to the challenge, created very diverse fashions, weekly, and deserved to win by your diverse talent weekly. You were also kind to your colleagues and didn’t criticize/brag constantly. Kenley, Korto had the “me” attitudes. It was always all about them and their point of view. Kenley couldn’t get past the “vintage”/retro look and Korto couldn’t get past the heritage factor in hers. That is not going to help them to design fashions for clients that have their own point of views. I’d love to see you team up with Jerrell and tone him down/perfect his seamstress skills. Between his creativity and talent for color, you guys would great together!!

Leanne won fair and square!!! She is a beautiful designer. Kenley’s design looked like K-Mart. Besides, she will never go far in the fashion world with a stinking attitude. Korto’s work was also very beautiful. I had a hard time deciding between the top two. I honestly don’t know how Kenley made it to the top 3. She was very disrespectful to EVERYONE.

I am okay with the judges decision.. tho I agree that Korto presented a VERY impressive final collection. My favorite designer from season 5 was Kenley pretty much from the beginning, and I had predicted she would make it to the final 3 early on. I really LOVE her style… after the last 6 episodes her personality got a little over-bearing which I feel is the main reflect of the majority not liking her collection. Her designs are old style, but they always have a modern twist on them which I think i VERY unique. I agree with previous comments that Leanne always had an ‘over-lapping’ design style & Korto always had an ‘everyday woman’ style, but I felt that Kenley’s was always unique & dreamy.. it was like Nina always says ‘a fantasy’.. and tho I agree that season 5 was my least fave so far I have to admit I have NEVER seen anyone FIT clothes like Kenley.
