The votes are in! Leanne wins! With her mixture of structural yet sweet pieces Leanne’s innovation and fashion-forward collection wooed the judges.
Consistent throughout the season with her pleats, pin tucks, and petals she had a strong showing at Bryant Park. We love her collection and were in awe of her craftsmanship and attention to detail. Although, we wish she would have included more color in her palette we commend her for showing well-made pieces that truly represented her point-of-view.
Get to know Leanne by learning about her inspiration - and relive all the action by watching her runway show. Bid now to take home a piece of the runway.

I always knew you would win . .from the first dress you designed on project runway. You are a true designer and a genious at your craft. It’s not just because I remember you from FIDM and I am from Portand, I really believe you are the first European “made to fit” designer from America in many years!!!!
BRAVO to you and BRAVO to BRAVO!!! Kudos and greatest of luck to you!!!!!

Woohoo! P-Town represent! Loved the collection, congrats!

Leann definitely had the most cohesive collection, and the colors were beautiful. Her theme, “waves”, was perfectly represented in her work. Now if she’d just lose those horrible eyeglass frames…..

I couldnt saw the finale, but im happy to learn here L. is the winner. She was the best of season 5, by far….Love her designs, because she is “fashion forward” but still classic. And…love also that her personality is not flashy, as others’….is a good lesson for divas like you know who.

I am sooo happy that Leanne won! While I loved Corto, I felt that Leanne deserved it. I am also very happy that Kenley lost. Hopefully, she learns something from this experience and makes a major attitude adjustment!
October 16th, 2008 at 6:44 am
Leanne absolutely did not deserve to win, she didn’t even deserve to make it to the finals. Korto and Kenley were far better. What a rip off!

I really think that Korto should have won. Her pieces were more for the Everyday woman. I would be more likely to wear a beaded dress than a ruffled one. However, Leanne’s line was stunning and it showed diversity. Her little short set was soo cute!!

I appreciated Leanne’s craftmanship, but got a little tired of waves and petals. I loved Korto’s designs and wondered if anyone knows whether Korto will ever produce her necklaces for sale. I LOVED all the necklaces she wore that she had made herself. Thanks!

I knew she was going to win, plus she was also Siriano’s fav!!!

I was so hurt and disappointed with the Judges decision this year. I really did not find Leanne’s line any different from what she did the whole competition. The judges always said Korto’s Line was store ready to wear, made for the every day woman and showed great attention to a woman’s body and needs. I just was so over tulip girl, I just hope I don’t see that becoming a fashion trend.

I am just sick that Leanne won and am glad that the show is going off the air if this is the best they can do. Leanne’s collection was 10 look-a-like pieces. The same “waves” in long, short, skirts, and tops with hardly any color variation. BORing! Either Kenley or Korto’s collections were head and shoulders above Leanne’s. This was an awful choice and shows a lack of imagination among the judges. Plus, Leanne has the maturity of a 13-year-old — always making snide comments about the other designers. I dont’ like HER or her collection and am betting the other two will ultimately be more successful.

OMG!!!!!!!! I’m SOOOOOOOOOOO happy Leanne WON! Kenley has such a DISGUISTING attitude and didn’t deserve ANYTHING but a BIG FAT SLAP IN HER UGLY FACE!!!!!! Which was done quite well by her NOT WINNING! Hee-Hee! Shows you whose boss MEANIE! Korto’s collection was nice too, but not anything extravagant. The goal is to design HI-FASHION clothes, not clothes the average woman would buy. Congrats again Leanne!!!

I’M STILL NOT OVER JERELL ,BUT THANK GOD IT’S LEAVING BRAVO DOESN’T DESERVE THE AIR TIME I KNOW LIFETIME IS THE NEW HOME…BUT VERY HAPPY FOR LEANNE AND KORTO LOVE THEM BOTH VERY DESERVING. BEST TO JERELLE ,AND KENLY “WHATEVER”. HEIDI YOUR SHOW HAS LOST IT’S INTEGRITY YOU GUYS WERE TOO SCARED OF DIVERSITY @ BRYANT THE OUTCOME SEEMED CONTRIVED, MANIPULATED, AND POLITICAL ALL WRAPPED UP IN ONE. ANYWAY, CHOW FOREVER! MY CO-WORKERS AND FRIENDS HAVE HAD ENOUGH!
October 16th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
I need a reunion show! Where’s the reunion show. It should be everyone against Kenley. Why didn’t Tim meeting Kenly’s family and/or friends? Probably due to her attitude problem. I am sooooo happy that Kenley did not win. I wanted Korto to win, but am happy that Leanne won.
But I need a reunion show!!!! Please!
October 16th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
I was so surprised Leanne won. She has an architectural technique. I thought Korto would win ’cause her collection was more versatile and filled with vibrant colors. Congrats anyway, as long as Kenley lost - her voice is nasaly and talks like a whining cat.

I AM SO SAD!!!! What is wrong with Project Runway are you F@ucking serious??? Leanne had pieces only stick Rich B$tches could wear. Get real Nina,Tim,Marc and Hedi who the F*ck is going to wear Leanne pieces? With Kenly collection only moms should wear those pieces so they can say a child dressed them! I cried when Korto said “My heart is bleeding”. She deserve to win!!!! THE REAL WOMEN ARE SHAPELY AND WHERE A SIZE 14!!!! I know of no one that would wear Leanne SH*T!!!! Her whole collection was that same petal SH*T in dull colors! Leanne showed one look over and over and was rewarded. I HOPE that Korto gets a big deal that blows Leanne rewards out of the water. As for Kenly I want this lost to bring her down a notch her design stealing A$$. I am so disappointed of Project Runway I will not be looking for anything new next season. I have to find a new show to convet. Maybe Lifetime has something new on Wednesday’s. Kimore had more new designs in her Baby Phat collection.

I’m still upset that jerell was not allowed to show at Brynat Park…that being said, I rather like Kortos collection. Kortos collection was interesting, the colors were beautiful. Korto had a lovely, interesting and exciting collection. I found Leeannes collection, although at first interesting, after several models, it was the same design over and over and over again. She my have had pants and shorts and skits but she had petals and petals and petals in whiite and blue and tan. and something only a too thin model can wear and that may be the point. However she still deserves congratulations for her hard work.

I am soooooooooo disappointed that Korto did not win. All season long she has demonstrated her extraordinary talent. I am apalled that Leanne was the winner. I mean really. What were the judges thinking? Leanne’s designs were not cutting edge, they were not innovative. They were drab.
October 16th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Congratulations Leanne, I wish you all the best, but I am also very disappointed that Korto did not win, I was hoping and praying that she would, her collection was beautiful, I think she put more thought into her collection than you did. Your collection was one sided, too many waves, I thought I was drowning, I kept coming up for air and at the end I lost. Kinleys collection was also very beautiful, I was surprised. I loved what she did with her dresses, hand painted fabrics are very difficult to paint specially, satin. I wish you all the best for the future, congratulations to all three I think you all are winners.

WOO HOO FOR LEANNE!
Loved Korto as well-amazing.
I got a jolt of excitement when Kenley was the first to be told- “You’re out!” LMAO! That girl needed to be “sabotaged” as Jerell would say for her ugly “hip-hop” look!
October 17th, 2008 at 8:00 am
I think Leanne’s collection was terrific and she has got a bright future ahead! I also loved Korto’s collection and hope to see her succeed! I am so sorry that Jarell could not have shown his collection with them.. He has a great style sense all his own and I want to see more of his creations! All 3 of you rock! All my love!
October 17th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
OMG Kenley should go back to Walmart She has a mouth to Tim and Leanne…… Beautiful yet the same thing over and over and over AHHHH BORing!!!!!! Nina even said that she is concerned about Leanne ever going any where with her collection because u see almost the same thing over and over … BLA Season 4 was sooooo much better Christian and jillian and rami were aMAZINGGGGG ………………………….
October 17th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Congrats to Leanne! Loved her designs! Wish it would have been her Korto & Jarell as the top 3. Well, I’m soooooo glad Kenley got the boot. Her attitude stinks and I doubt she’ll ever leave even but a “stitch” on the fashion world.

I was surprised to see yet another designer with great commercial and creativity not win Project Runway. What are the judge looking for? The successful designers are the ones that create wearable art that is desirable to the eyes and sought after to be worn and owned. The “petal” wedding dress was nice - but, do you really think women want to wear petals to work, school, meetings and appointments or even to a special event? NO! Please get in touch with what the fashionable, professional and thinking woman would want to see and wear. Next season - actually let the talented designer win. Korto should have won this competition. She had color, design and quality. The only good thing about her not winning is that I hope that someone could back her collection. She was the one to beat from the beginning and was consistent with taste and flair all the way through the competition. I have watched Project Runway from the onset. I keep hoping that one season - would be the season that a real designer will win. Christian was the exception to these thoughts. He is talented. Korto should have without a doubt been the winner of this season.

Wow,
If you or anyone has actually attended design school…then you would know that this structured wave overly architectured…look is not new on the scene as a matter of fact this has been done all over Asia…Korto…had a broader point of view than this. The fact that P-R is a competition that will fund the collection of the chosen designer interprets that the design asthetic must be marketable…there has to be a retail friendly niche to each piece. The concern of a Leanne’s collection being a ONE-NOTE was the only truth, the judges are near sighted on this one. Kenley was the true winner…but fortunately for her. Investor’s will beat down her door, and she will not be owned by Project Runway or branded.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LEANNE. GOOD LUCK AND GOD SPEED.
