Daniel Vosovic: Fashion Inside Out

We’ll admit that when it comes to the designers we try not to pick favorites each season, but we always end up having some anyway. Be it because of their talent or personality, some of the designers always have a magical place in our hearts.

Project Runway Season Two finalist Daniel Vosovic is no exception. With his sleek lines and modern aesthetic we instantly fell in love with his designs and his quiet strength and kindness did not go unnoticed either.

In his new book Fashion Inside Out, Vosovic goes over the ideas, concepts, and steps to become a fashion designer and gives insight into today’s fashion world. The book has a forward by Tim Gunn and is filled with amazing interviews, beautiful sketches, and artistic photographs. It’s a great gift for those of you who love designing or are a fan of Daniel’s work. Even those who simply enjoy art will be inspired.

Project Runway Inaugural Ball Gown Challenge

Well folks, the votes are in and Barack Obama is our new President Elect. Haley Eber of the Daily Beast couldn’t help but ask Project Runway alums, including  Season 5 winner Leanne , to weigh in on what they would design for the Inaugural gown if only given recycled and low cost materials. These materials include  Laura Bush’s 2005 Inaugural Ball dress, an American flag, burlap sacks, and $10 worth of trims of their choosing.

The dresses were created before the election so the designs were made for both Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama in mind. Read the article - and see the pictures here.
