It’s getting closer and closer to Fashion Week! With half the designers already eliminated, the grand prize is within reach and the future is looking bright for the remaining eight! But only three will have the chance to show their collections at the celebrated Bryant Park. We have to know…
Gordana definitely delivered in last week’s Project Runway challenge, creating an edgy yet elegant dyed and feathered dress suited for a divorcee on the prowl. And to think that such a hot modern piece was made from a frumpy old wedding gown! Amazing.
Think you’ve seen all of Gordana’s magic on the runway? Think again. Gordana has created a line of sensational silky tops, leather dresses and belted wrap cardigans exclusively for ProjectRunway.com. One of our favorites? This layered and textured Leather Patch Skirt. Available in black or off white, this sassy little skirt will add just enough spice to your daywear or shake things up at night.
And it only gets better because right now, in celebration of Gordana’s win, you can get this flirty skirt (and everything else in Gordana’s collection) at 20% off using code “WINNER” at checkout. With such a great deal before you, the only difficult decision left to make is how will you wear it?
This week, we asked you to channel your ability to see into the future by taking this poll and predicting who you think will win this week’s Project Runway Macy’s challenge.
The results are in, and, according to you, we will have our first repeat winner of the season this week. Find out how the votes went after the jump.
While we love Althea’s winning look from Episode 604 of Project Runway, we know that sometimes the fans don’t always agree with the judges’ pick. This time, you’re sitting on the panel. It’s your turn to decide who should have won this challenge.
Just pick your Project Runway team and earn points whenever the designers from your team do any of the scoring items. How to win? Do well, do terribly bad or even just play along. But you can’t win if you don’t play!
Meet Althea Harper. A recent college graduate. Althea realized she had designer potential after drawing the clothing of ice skaters and dresses from the Oscars at age 10. Since then, this spunky blonde from Ohio has interned for Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Victoria’s Secret. She generated buzz with her final college project– a fashion show entitled “The Raven”. Althea graduated from the University of Cincinnati and also studied at prestigious fashion school Central St. Martins in London.
Catch Althea and the rest of the Project Runway Season 6 cast sew up the competition on August 20.

Meet Christopher Straub of Project Runway Season 6. The first garment he ever made was a pair of crazy clown pants at the age of 14. While his designing strength is incorporating volume into his garments, he admits that his weaknesses include working with delicate fabrics and constructing body-hugging (fitted) garments. Tune in to Project Runway on August 20 and watch designer Chris put his skills to the test!

Meet Ari Fish. She is a Gemini who received her design training at the Kansas City Art Institute. She loves working with any type of fabric or material. How would she dress first lady Michelle Obama? With a “peach-colored, super-concentric stitched satin one-piece dress with an intense but comfortable collar.” If she were to name her own label, she’d call it “Made in America by Ari Fish”. Tune in to Project Runway on August 20 and watch designer Ari put her skills to the test!

Meet Louise Black. The first garment she ever made was her very own wedding dress. Her fashion must? A pair of nice Italian shoes. While she admits her weaknesses lie in creating menswear, watch out designers - she claims she’s a speed demon seamstress that can sew lightening fast! Don’t miss the action. Catch Louise and the rest of the Project Runway Season 6 contestants battle it out in the workroom on August 20.

Meet Logan Neitzel. He’s your go-to man for cool street wear or an edgy rocker look. If he wasn’t designing, he’d be a stuntman or a race car driver. Go ahead, ask him about his croc-embossed leather duffel bag (it’s the item he’s most proud of designing). But don’t let him catch you in public dressed a little too casual - the fashion faux pas that absolutely drives him crazy is sweatsuits!
